Brave Duck and Robots is looking for a summer intern to join us as a 3D Real-time Artist.

Summer Internship: 3D Real time Artist

This role is for someone with a solid 3D foundation who wants to apply their skills to spatial design, real-time environments, animation, and physical experience.

This is a paid internship focused on experimentation, learning, and creative R&D. You will not be working on client deliverables. You may develop exploratory demos or prototypes that help us test how real-time 3D, spatial storytelling, and physical environments can come together.

This is not a 3D training role. You should already be comfortable creating 3D assets, environments, or visualisations. What you’ll learn with us is how those skills translate into immersive experiences, physical spaces, and real-time storytelling.

  • Duration: Mid-June to mid-August
  • Commitment: 4 half-days per week / 16 hours per week
  • Location: London / hybrid
  • Pay: ~£1,750–£1,800 gross total
  • Eligibility: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship. BD+R is unable to sponsor visas for this role.

You may be a fit for this role if you:

  • Create strong 3D pre-visualisations and renderings for spatial or experiential design.
  • Have an interest in animation, motion graphics, generative design, or real-time storytelling.
  • Work with Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, or similar tools.
  • Are curious about AI-assisted design workflows and how they can support creative production.
  • Want to explore real-time characters, environments, and digital layers that connect with physical spaces.
  • Enjoy working with a diverse team where creative storytelling, real-time animation, and physical engineering meet.

This is a hands-on summer role for someone who wants to contribute, experiment, and explore how 3D knowledge can move beyond the screen and into experiences people step into.
